The Squint Centre at Chandigarh, India is a centre exclusively devoted to the treatment of squint and lazy eye. Chandigarh, the “City Beautiful”, created by Le Corbusier, the famous French architect, is located 250 km north of New Delhi and is well connected by rail, road and air routes.
Many eye hospitals and centres in India have various speciality clinics in addition to general eye care facility. To our knowledge, there is no other centre exclusively devoted to the treatment of squint only. The Squint Centre was planned and established by Dr. Kanwar Mohan who is exclusively devoted to the squint super-speciality since last two decades. The sole aim of establishing Squint Centre was to provide a highly superspecialized and the most scientific treatment of squint and lazy eye.
The Centre has all essential and desired equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of squint. To remain updated with the latest scientific developments, the Centre regularly receives the most prestigious and highly rated journals in the field of squint and lazy eye such as Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (JPOS), Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (JAAPOS), and Strabismus.
